Your Credit Book: Track Who Owes You

Read the story

In Kenya, credit is everywhere. A regular customer says 'I'll pay next week.' Your neighbour picks up goods and promises to settle on Friday. Without a system, these promises disappear into memory — and so does the money. Keel's credit book keeps track so you don't have to.

Log a Credit Sale

When a sale is on credit, use the Credit tab in the Sales Till or Log Sale. Search for the customer by name or phone, set a promise date, and log the sale. The amount owed is added to that customer's balance automatically.

See Who Owes What

Open the Customers page and each profile shows the total credit balance and promise dates. You can see every credit sale, when it was made, and when it was supposed to be paid. One glance tells you who's current and who's overdue.

Record the Payment

When the customer pays, open their profile and record the payment. The balance decreases, the sale is marked as settled, and your revenue updates. You can accept partial payments too — the remaining balance stays tracked until it's zero.

Customer History

Every customer profile shows their full order history — total spent, orders placed, credit sales, and payments made. Returning customers are recognised by their phone number, so you can see their history in seconds without asking for details.

Who It's For

Any business that sells on credit — hardware shops, wholesale suppliers, fabric stores, shops with regular customers. If you've ever lost track of who owes you, this is the fix.
