Collect: Get Paid at the Counter

A customer walks in, picks something up, and wants to pay with M-Pesa. You pull out your phone, open the till, type the amount, enter their number, and Keel does the rest — the customer gets a prompt on their phone, enters their PIN, and the money is yours. No till machine, no separate app, no waiting.

How It Works

Open the Sales page and tap Collect. Type the amount the customer owes, enter their Safaricom number, and hit Collect. Keel sends a payment prompt directly to their handset. The moment they enter their PIN, the sale is recorded automatically — stock deducted, revenue logged, receipt ready.

No Hardware Needed

You don't need a till machine, a card reader, or any extra hardware. Keel's payment system runs entirely from your dashboard — on your phone, your laptop, or your tablet. If the customer's phone rings with the M-Pesa prompt, you're in business.

Recorded Automatically

Every Collect payment is logged as a sale with the customer's phone number, the amount, and a timestamp. No manual entry, no forgetting to record a transaction. Your dashboard, Finance, and Reports all update the moment the payment lands.

What If They Don't Pay?

If the customer cancels the prompt or doesn't enter their PIN, the transaction simply doesn't go through. Nothing is recorded, nothing is charged. You can try again or accept a different payment method — Keel doesn't lock you into one path.
