Weight-based billing for laundries & dry cleaners
Charge per kilogram with a scale — enter the weight and Keel prices the job.
Setting up per-kg pricing
On the Services page, set a service with the Per kg pricing mode (e.g. Wash & Fold at KSh 200/kg). Add the unit label kg. When this service is added to an order, you just type the weight.
Writing a weight order
Create the order and pick the per-kg service. Enter the weight (e.g. 6.5) and the total adjusts automatically. You can combine weight billing with flat-rate extras — a per-kg wash with a flat ironing charge — on the same order.
Why it matters
Weight-based billing removes the awkward maths at the counter. The customer sees exactly what they're being charged, and nothing is forgotten when it comes to invoicing at the end of the week.
